Sean Abley

SEAN ABLEY (Board Member, Dramaturg/Literary Manager, Resident Playwright)

Sean Abley was born and raised in Helena, MT. After a stint in the theater department at the University of Montana, he moved to Chicago where he cofounded the Factory Theater. Sean Scott McCracken

Sean has played historical characters such as Bobby Kennedy on stage, to more or less shady heroes in films like From The Woods. Apt in portrayal of the Difficult Man, he leans into a character that maintains pure intentions, questionable habits, and unwavering intent to protect and defend even in opposition with society laws. At year’s end, Sean will complete the Meisner program at Ruskin School of Acting, after which he’ll begin classical training at Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum, and is a current student at UCB Improv. When not on stage, camera, or training, he’s finds solace in motion: beneath the ocean, driving his ’74 Pontiac GP, the promise after 39,000 feet, or long cycles along the beach.
